-The server is hosted on a Dell Poweredge R740XD with dual gold xeon processers and 256G of ram.  It has NvMe U.2 Drives in a raid.  It is on a 10g fiber network with a Synology Rackstation backup that backs up to another synology nas on site.  That nas backs up to an off site location.  The internet is a fiber connection.  There are 2 other Dell Poweredge servers in service as well that provide back ups and other functions.   There are multiple servers/websites and other things being hosted along with the UO server.  There are multiple battery backups that can power the system for several hours if needed.

No, donations are just that.... a donation. The money obtained from donations are used for hardware maintenance, power and internet costs. Every donation is greatly appreciated. You can get to end game just by playing the game and earning BW in game.
