The Samurai Bow Quest is a two-part quest chain that rewards players with powerful custom Yumi bows. The quest line begins with '''Wang Chung''', a Master Bowcrafter, and continues with his father '''Wang Chung Senior''', a GrandMaster Bowcrafter.
== Part 1: Master Bow Quest ==

=== Quest Giver ===

'''Wang Chung''' — "Master Bowcrafter"

Wang Chung is a stationary NPC located in '''Zento''' on the Tokuno Islands, in the same building as '''Ihara Soko''', the Imperial Minister of Trade. Speak to him or double-click him to receive the quest.

=== Objective ===

Obtain and turn in '''10 Horselords'''.

=== How to Get The Horselord ===

The Horselord is a '''Treasures of Tokuno''' major reward. To obtain one, you must participate in the Treasures of Tokuno system:

# Travel to '''Tokuno Islands''' and hunt creatures there (or in the Yomotsu Mines and Fan Dancer's Dojo).
# Killing monsters on Tokuno earns hidden points. The higher a creature's fame, the more points you accumulate. Higher luck increases your point gain.
# As your points build up, you have an increasing chance to receive a '''minor artifact''' drop (items like Ancient Farmer's Kasa, Dragon Nunchaku, Hanzo's Bow, and others).
# Collect '''10 minor artifacts''' and bring them to '''Ihara Soko''', the Imperial Minister of Trade, located in '''Zento''' on the Tokuno Islands. He will exchange them for a '''major artifact''' of your choice. Wang Chung and Wang Chung Senior are in the same building, so you can handle everything in one location.
# Select '''The Horselord''' from the reward list. It is a Yumi-style bow.

You will need to repeat this process '''10 times''' to collect the 10 Horselords needed for the quest. This is a significant time investment, as each Horselord requires 10 minor artifact turn-ins (100 minor artifacts total).

'''Tip:''' The Horselord can also be traded between players. Check player vendors or trade chat if you want to buy them rather than farm all 100 minor artifacts yourself.

=== Reward ===

'''Samurai Bow of Power''' — A custom Yumi with the following properties:

{| class="wikitable" style="width:50%;"
! Property !! Value
|-
| Damage || 17 – 21
|-
| Durability || 250 / 250
|-
| Hit Fireball || 50%
|-
| Hit Lightning || 50%
|-
| Hit Mana Leech || 50%
|-
| Luck || 200
|-
| Spell Channeling || Yes
|-
| Swing Speed Increase || 20%
|-
| Damage Increase || 50%
|-
| Spell Damage Increase || 20%
|}

This is already a very strong bow, but it also serves as the key ingredient for the next quest.

== Part 2: Samurai Master Bow Quest ==

=== Quest Giver ===

'''Wang Chung Senior''' — "GrandMaster Bowcrafter"

Wang Chung Senior is a stationary NPC located in '''Zento''' alongside his son Wang Chung and Ihara Soko. This makes it convenient to farm Horselords from Ihara Soko and turn them in for the quest all in one trip.

=== Objective ===

Obtain and turn in '''2 Samurai Bows of Power''' (the reward from Part 1).

This means you must complete the Master Bow Quest '''twice''' to have two Samurai Bows of Power available to turn in. Since each run of Part 1 costs 10 Horselords, the total investment for Part 2 is '''20 Horselords''' (200 minor artifacts worth of Tokuno farming).

=== Reward ===

'''Samurai Master Bow of Power''' — An upgraded custom Yumi with significantly stronger properties:

{| class="wikitable" style="width:50%;"
! Property !! Value
|-
| Damage || 19 – 24
|-
| Durability || 250 / 250
|-
| Hit Fireball || 70%
|-
| Hit Lightning || 70%
|-
| Hit Mana Leech || 70%
|-
| Hit Magic Arrow || 70%
|-
| Luck || 300
|-
| Spell Channeling || Yes
|-
| Swing Speed Increase || 30%
|-
| Damage Increase || 60%
|-
| Spell Damage Increase || 30%
|}

== Comparison ==

{| class="wikitable" style="width:70%;"
! Property !! Samurai Bow of Power !! Samurai Master Bow of Power
|-
| Damage || 17 – 21 || 19 – 24
|-
| Hit Fireball || 50% || 70%
|-
| Hit Lightning || 50% || 70%
|-
| Hit Mana Leech || 50% || 70%
|-
| Hit Magic Arrow || — || 70%
|-
| Luck || 200 || 300
|-
| Swing Speed Increase || 20% || 30%
|-
| Damage Increase || 50% || 60%
|-
| Spell Damage Increase || 20% || 30%
|}

The Master version gains a fourth hit effect (Magic Arrow), higher percentages across the board, and improved base damage. It is one of the most powerful ranged weapons available on the shard.

== Total Cost Breakdown ==

To go from zero to the Samurai Master Bow of Power, the full investment is:

{| class="wikitable" style="width:60%;"
! Step !! What You Need !! Running Total
|-
| Farm minor artifacts || 200 Tokuno minor artifact drops || —
|-
| Turn in to Ihara Soko (10 each) || 20 major reward selections || 20 Horselords
|-
| Complete Part 1 twice || 20 Horselords → 2 Samurai Bows of Power || —
|-
| Complete Part 2 || 2 Samurai Bows of Power → 1 Samurai Master Bow of Power || '''1 final bow'''
|}

== Tips ==

* '''Farm efficiently''' — Creatures in Fan Dancer's Dojo and Yomotsu Mines count for Tokuno drops. Higher fame creatures give more points per kill, and higher luck increases your point accumulation rate.
* '''Buy Horselords from other players''' — If you have the gold, purchasing Horselords from player vendors or through trade chat can save a significant amount of farming time.
* '''Do not use or lose your Samurai Bows of Power''' before completing Part 2 — you need both copies to turn in. If you lose one, you will need to complete Part 1 again.
* Both bows have '''Spell Channeling''' with no faster casting penalty, making them excellent for hybrid archer-mage builds.
* Both bows have '''250/250 durability''', so they are very durable and will last a long time before needing repair.
