Repair Kits
Repair Kits are single-use items crafted by Legendary-level artisans that fully restore an item's durability with no maximum durability loss. This makes them far superior to repairing items yourself or through an NPC, where failed or low-skill repairs can permanently reduce an item's max durability over time.
Each kit corresponds to a specific crafting discipline and can only repair items appropriate to that trade. Once used, the kit is consumed.
Types of Repair Kits
| Kit | Crafting Discipline | What It Repairs |
|---|---|---|
| Blacksmith Repair Kit | Blacksmithing (120) | Metal armor (ringmail, chainmail, platemail, etc.), metal shields (except Wooden Shield), and metal melee weapons (swords, maces, axes — excludes bows, staves, Tetsubo, and Bokuto) |
| Tailoring Repair Kit | Tailoring (120) | Leather armor of all types (regular leather through ethereal leather) |
| Fletching Repair Kit | Fletching (120) | Ranged weapons (bows and crossbows) |
| Carpentry Repair Kit | Carpentry (120) | Wooden Shields, staves, Tetsubo, and Bokuto |
How to Use
- Place the Repair Kit and the item you wish to repair in your backpack.
- Double-click the Repair Kit.
- A targeting cursor will appear — target the item you want to repair.
- If the item is valid and damaged, it will be restored to full durability and the kit will be consumed.
Note: The item must be damaged (not already at full durability) and must be the correct type for the kit you are using. If you target an invalid item, you will receive a message saying "That item cannot be repaired" and the kit will not be consumed.
Why Use Repair Kits?
The key advantage of Legendary Repair Kits is that they restore durability with zero maximum durability loss. Under normal circumstances, repairing an item — whether by hand or through an NPC — risks permanently lowering the item's maximum hit points. Over time, this weakens the item until it eventually becomes unusable. Legendary Repair Kits avoid this entirely, making them essential for preserving valuable runic, artifact, and high-end crafted gear.
Where to Find Them
Repair Kits are crafted by players with 120 skill in the corresponding discipline. They are commonly listed for sale on player vendors throughout the world.
To find them:
- Use the
[vendorsearchcommand. - Search for the kit by name (e.g., "Blacksmith Repair Kit", "Tailoring Repair Kit", "Fletching Repair Kit", or "Carpentry Repair Kit").
- Browse the results and purchase from a player vendor.

- If you receive the message "That item cannot be repaired," make sure you are using the correct kit type for the item. For example, a Blacksmith Repair Kit will not work on leather armor — you need a Tailoring Repair Kit for that.
- Keep a small stock of each type in your tool key for convenience.
