Community Collections are server-wide cooperative donation drives in which players contribute items, gold, or tamed creatures to a shared cause. Every donation earns the player personal Reward Points that can be spent on exclusive equipment, titles, and decorative items. At the same time, donations push the collection's Community Tier upward, unlocking new exhibits, creatures, and displays that all players can enjoy.

Two Community Collections are currently active:

How It Works

Interacting with a Collection

Each collection is represented by either a Donation Box (an item you double-click) or a Collection NPC (a vendor you double-click). Both open the same Community Collection window. You must be within two tiles of the box or NPC.

The window has two views, toggled by the buttons at the bottom:

  • Status — Shows the collection's current tier, total community points, and the points needed to reach the next tier. Below that is a list of all accepted donations along with their point values.
  • Rewards — Shows your personal reward point balance and all available rewards with their costs.

Both views paginate with Next and Previous buttons if the list is long.

Making a Donation

  1. Open the collection window and make sure you are on the Status / Donations page.
  2. Items you are carrying that match an accepted donation type will show a count to the right of the item graphic.
  3. Click the small arrow button next to the item you wish to donate.
  4. A text prompt will appear: "Please enter how much of that item you wish to donate."
  5. Type the quantity and press Enter.

The items are consumed from your backpack (or your bank account, in the case of gold), you receive a confirmation message, and your personal reward points increase.

What you see What it means
Thank you for your donation! Donation accepted.
You have earned X reward points for this donation. Your personal balance increased by X.
The Collection has been awarded X points. The community total increased by X.
You do not have enough to make a donation of that magnitude! You entered a number larger than the quantity you are carrying.
That is not a valid donation quantity. You typed zero or a non-number.

Gold donations draw from both the gold in your backpack and your bank account. Backpack gold is consumed first.

Bank check donations are also accepted where listed and are consumed from your backpack.

Commodity deeds containing an accepted item type are recognized and consumed properly.

Donating Pets

Some collections (notably the Moonglow Zoo) accept tamed creatures. To donate a pet:

  1. The creature must be your controlled pet, alive, and within range of the collection NPC or box.
  2. Interact with the collection. If the pet's type is on the accepted list, a confirmation window will appear:
"Are you sure you wish to transfer this pet away, with no possibility of recovery?"
  3. Click CONTINUE to donate the pet, or CANCEL to keep it.

Donated pets are permanently deleted. There is no way to recover them. Some creature types are grouped together for donation purposes—for example, a Dragon and a Drake are interchangeable for the Zoo's "dragon" donation slot, as are Kirin/Nightmare/Unicorn and FireBeetle/Beetle/RuneBeetle.

Earning & Spending Reward Points

Every donation awards you a number of personal reward points equal to the quantity donated multiplied by the item's point value. These points are tracked per collection—points earned at the Vesper Museum cannot be spent at the Moonglow Zoo, and vice versa.

To claim a reward:

  1. Switch to the Rewards page.
  2. Rewards you can afford appear in full color with a clickable arrow. Rewards you cannot yet afford appear grayed out.
  3. Click the arrow next to the reward you want.
  4. Some rewards (clothing, for example) offer a hue selection page where you pick a color. Choose a hue and confirm.
  5. A confirmation dialog asks: "Are you sure you wish to select this?"
  6. Click OK to claim the reward. It is placed directly in your backpack and the point cost is deducted from your balance.

If your backpack is full, the reward will not be given and you will be asked to make room.

Titles work slightly differently: claiming a title adds it to your list of available reward titles (accessible via the title-selection gump). If you already have that title, you will be told "You already have that title!" and no points are deducted.

Community Tiers

Every collection has a maximum number of tiers. As the community's total donated points cross tier thresholds, new exhibits or creatures are spawned in the world near the collection. These are visible to everyone.

If total points drop below a tier threshold (due to daily decay or simply not enough donations), the tier decreases and the associated exhibit is removed.

Each collection's tier thresholds scale: the first tier requires a base amount, and subsequent tiers require progressively more points.

Daily Decay

To keep collections active, a daily decay is applied to the community point total once per day (at midnight server time). If players stop donating, the collection will slowly lose tiers over time. This encourages ongoing participation.

Tips & Strategy

  • Gold is always an option. If you do not have specialty materials or tamed creatures, gold works at every collection. At roughly 15 gold per point, it takes about 1.5 million gold to earn 100,000 reward points.
  • Higher-tier materials are more efficient. A single Frostwood Board is worth 48 points compared to 1 point for a plain board. If you have access to rare lumber, your donations go much further.
  • Rare pets are valuable donations. A single Reptalon donation is worth 550 points at the Zoo, compared to 30 for a wolf. High-end tamers can contribute very efficiently.
  • Pet type groups matter. At the Zoo, a Dragon can fill the Drake donation slot (and vice versa). Similarly, Unicorn/Nightmare/Kirin and FireBeetle/Beetle/RuneBeetle are interchangeable within their groups.
  • Decay is real. Every collection loses 100,000 community points per day. If the community stops donating, tiers will drop and exhibits will disappear. Consistent, ongoing donations keep the collection healthy.
  • Points are per-collection. Your reward balance at the Museum is completely separate from your Zoo balance.
  • Hued rewards let you pick. Clothing and some statuettes offer multiple color options. When you select one of these rewards, a hue picker appears before the confirmation dialog.
