Enhanced BOD Books

Overview

Enhanced BOD Books are custom craft-specific storage books on Banes World that provide powerful sorting, filtering, and search tools for managing your Bulk Order Deeds. Unlike the standard Bulk Order Book (which holds all deed types in one place), each Enhanced BOD Book is dedicated to a single craft and comes with material-specific filters, sortable columns, status tracking, and a search bar — making it far easier to find the exact deed you need. The books hold up to 50k of bods.

Enhanced BOD Books are available for the following crafts:

Craft Material Type Book Color
Blacksmithing Metals (Iron through Platinum) Dark grey
Tinkering Metals (Iron through Platinum) Light grey
Tailoring Cloth / Leather types Purple
Carpentry Woods (Plain through Petrified) Brown
Fletching Woods (Plain through Petrified) Green
Taming Creature types Light Green

Additional Enhanced BOD Books for Alchemy, Inscription, and Cooking are planned for future updates.

Obtaining an Enhanced BOD Book

Enhanced BOD Books are crafted through the Inscription skill. They appear under the Custom category in the Inscription crafting menu. Because of their high skill requirements, these books are considered endgame crafting projects.

Crafting Requirements

Every Enhanced BOD Book requires the same base materials:

Resource Amount
Blank Scrolls 30
Gargoyle Book (200 charge) 5
Magical Residue 10

In addition to the materials, each book requires two skills at high levels:

Book Inscription Requirement Second Skill Requirement
Enhanced Blacksmith BOD Book 120.5-150 Inscription 120.0 Blacksmithing
Enhanced Tinkering BOD Book 120.5-150 Inscription 120.0 Tinkering
Enhanced Tailoring BOD Book 120.5-150 Inscription 120.0 Tailoring
Enhanced Carpentry BOD Book 120.5-150 Inscription 120.0 Carpentry
Enhanced Fletching BOD Book 120.5-150 Inscription 120.0 Fletching
Enhanced Taming BOD Book 120.5-150 Inscription 120.0 Animal Taming

The 120.5-150 Inscription requirement means you will need Inscription BOD reward gear equipped to reach the necessary skill level. Inscription Power Scrolls raise your cap to 120, and BOD reward gear provides the bonus points needed to push past 120 and hit the crafting threshold. You will also need a 120 Power Scroll in the matching craft skill. You will need to obtain all 6 pieces of the Inscription BOD reward gear to have a 100% chance to make these books

Buying from Other Players

If you do not have the skills to craft Enhanced BOD Books yourself, other players frequently sell them through Player Vendors. You can find these using the Vendor Search system:

  1. Click on your character to open a list.
  2. Scroll down and select Vendor Search.
  3. Search for the book by name (e.g., "enhanced fletching bod book").
  4. Or simply use the command [vendorsearch

This will show you all player vendors currently selling that item, along with their prices and locations.

Adding BODs to the Book

There are two ways to add deeds to an Enhanced BOD Book:

Drag and Drop

Simply drag a Bulk Order Deed onto the book in your backpack. The book will only accept deeds that match its craft type — for example, a Fletching BOD Book will reject a Blacksmithing deed. The book must be in your backpack to accept deeds.

Fill from Pack

Right-click the book to open its context menu and select Fill from Pack. This will automatically scan your backpack for all matching BODs and add them to the book at once. This is the fastest way to load a large number of deeds after a collection run.

Each Enhanced BOD Book can hold up to 50,000 deeds.

Reading the Gump

When you double-click an Enhanced BOD Book, a large gump window opens showing all your stored deeds in a table layout. The columns displayed are:

Column Description
Drop Click the arrow button to remove the deed from the book and place it in your backpack.
Size Shows the deed dimensions — for example, 1x20 means a small deed requiring 20 items, while 5x15 means a large deed with 5 entries of 15 items each.
Items Required Lists the item names the deed requires. Large deeds with many entries will wrap to a second line.
Material Shows the required material (Metal, Wood, Leather type, or Cloth) in a color-coded label matching that material's in-game hue.
Except Shows Yes (in green) if the deed requires Exceptional quality, or No if Normal quality is accepted.
Points The reward point value for turning in that deed, pulled directly from the BOD reward calculator.
Status The current completion status of the deed: Incomplete (red), Partial (yellow with a progress count), or Complete (green).

The gump displays 10 entries per page with Previous/Next navigation at the bottom. The bottom-left corner shows the current range (e.g., "Showing 1-10 of 47 BODs").

Filtering

Enhanced BOD Books provide a full set of toggle filters across the top of the gump. Click a filter button to activate it (it turns green); click it again to deactivate it. Only one material filter can be active at a time.

Quantity Filters

Three buttons labeled 10, 15, and 20 filter deeds by their required quantity (AmountMax). For example, clicking "20" will show only deeds that require 20 of each item.

Quality Filters

  • Exceptional — Shows only deeds that require Exceptional quality items.
  • Normal — Shows only deeds that accept Normal quality items.

These two filters are mutually exclusive: activating one will deactivate the other.

Size Filters

  • Small — Shows only small (single-item) deeds.
  • Large — Shows only large (multi-item) deeds.

Material Filters

The material filter row changes depending on the craft type of the book:

Blacksmithing and Tinkering books show metal filters:

Iron Dull Copper Shadow Iron Copper Bronze Gold Agapite Verite Valorite Blaze Ice Toxic Electrum Platinum

Carpentry and Fletching books show wood filters:

Plain Oak Ash Yew Heartwood Bloodwood Frostwood Ebony Bamboo PurpleHeart Redwood Petrified

Tailoring books show fabric and leather filters:

Cloth Leather Spined Horned Barbed Polar Synthetic Blaze Daemonic Shadow Frost Ethereal

Clicking a material filter shows only deeds requiring that specific material. Click it again to clear the filter and show all materials.

Clear Filters

When any filter is active, a Clear Filters button appears in the upper-right area of the gump. Clicking it resets all filters back to their default (show everything) state.

Searching

The Search bar at the top-left of the gump lets you type a keyword and click Apply to filter the displayed deeds. The search checks against:

  • Item type names (e.g., "Crossbow", "WoodenChest", "Harp")
  • Material names (e.g., "Oak", "Heartwood", "Valorite")
  • Size strings (e.g., "5x20", "1x15")
  • Point values
  • Status text ("Complete", "Partial", "Incomplete")

A Clear button appears next to the search bar when a search is active, allowing you to reset the view.

Search and filters can be combined — for example, you could search for "Bow" while filtering by Frostwood and Exceptional to find only your exceptional frostwood bow deeds.

Sorting

Each data column (Size, Wood/Metal, Except, Points, Status) has a small sort arrow button next to its header. Click it to sort the entire list by that column. Click it again to reverse the sort direction. The current sort column and direction are indicated by a green or red arrow symbol.

Sorting is useful for quickly finding your highest-point deeds, grouping all deeds of one material together, or separating completed deeds from incomplete ones.

Renaming the Book

Right-click the book and select Name Book from the context menu to give it a custom name (up to 40 characters). This name appears on the book's tooltip, making it easy to distinguish between multiple books of the same type — for example, naming one "High Value Carpentry" and another "Carpentry Junk Drawer."

Status Tracking

Enhanced BOD Books track the fill progress of every deed:

  • Incomplete — No items have been turned in toward this deed yet.
  • Partial — Some items have been turned in, but the deed is not finished. A progress count like (35/100) appears below the status showing how many items have been filled out of the total needed.
  • Complete — All required items have been turned in and the deed is ready to be submitted for rewards.

This status is stored when the deed is added to the book, so you can see at a glance which deeds still need work.

Tips for Using Enhanced BOD Books

  • Sort by Points descending to quickly identify your most valuable deeds and prioritize filling them first.
  • Filter by Exceptional + a specific material to find matching deeds when you have a supply of that material ready to craft.
  • Use Fill from Pack after buying deeds from NPCs or collecting them over time — it is much faster than dragging deeds one at a time.
  • Name your books if you use more than one per craft. Some players keep a "To Fill" book and a "Completed" book, or separate books by material tier.
  • Search for specific items when you are crafting a particular item and want to check if you have a matching deed before you start.
  • The standard Bulk Order Book is still useful as a general-purpose holder for all deed types. Enhanced BOD Books are specialized tools that complement it — use whichever fits your workflow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use both Enhanced BOD Books and the regular Bulk Order Book?

A: Yes. They are completely independent items. You can store the same types of deeds in either book. Use whichever works best for your play style.

Q: Do the books persist through server restarts?

A: Yes. All data in Enhanced BOD Books is fully serialized and saved with the world. Your deeds, their completion status, and the book's custom name all persist through restarts.

Q: Can I store deeds from multiple crafts in one Enhanced BOD Book?

A: No. Each Enhanced BOD Book only accepts deeds from its specific craft. A Fletching BOD Book will reject a Carpentry deed, and so on. This is by design — the material filters and reward point calculations are craft-specific.

Q: What happens when I remove a deed from the book?

A: The deed is reconstructed as a full Bulk Order Deed item and placed in your backpack. All of its original properties — material, quantity, exceptional requirement, and fill progress — are preserved exactly as they were when the deed was added.

Q: Is there a limit to how many deeds I can store?

A: Each Enhanced BOD Book holds up to 50,000 deeds. You are unlikely to hit this limit under normal play.
