Banes World Plant BOD System

Overview

The Plant Bulk Order Deed (BOD) system is a custom gardening-focused economy on Banes World. Players obtain Plant BODs from the Plant BOD Vendor on the west side of Main Street, grow and set plants to decorative, then fill their BODs to earn points. Points are redeemed for exclusive gardening tools, titles, powerscrolls, and storage items.

Getting Started

Obtaining BODs

Visit the Plant BOD Vendor located on the west side of Main Street. You can get BODs in two ways:

  • Double-click the vendor to receive a BOD
  • Single-click the vendor and choose "Get Bulk Order" from the context menu

You may receive up to 5 BODs per 6-hour period. After receiving your 5th BOD, the vendor will tell you how long until the next period begins.

Understanding Your BOD

Each Plant BOD requires you to turn in a specific number of decorative plants. BODs vary in difficulty:

Plants Required Amount Each Point Value
1 10 10
1 15 25
1 20 50
2 10 210
2 15 225
2 20 250
3 10 260
3 15 275
3 20 300
4 10 310
4 15 325
4 20 350
5 10 360
5 15 375
5 20 400
6 10 410
6 15 425
6 20 450

BODs with more plants and higher quantities are worth significantly more points. A 6-plant BOD requiring 20 of each is worth 450 points compared to a single-plant BOD of 10 which is only worth 10 points.

Growing Plants for BODs

Basic Plant Growing

  1. Obtain a Plant Bowl (crafted by tinkers or purchased)
  2. Fill the bowl with dirt — use it on a dirt patch on the ground, or use Fertile Dirt for faster growth
  3. Water the dirt until it is soft (at least 2 water)
  4. Plant a Seed in the bowl
  5. Lock the planted bowl down in your house or keep it in your backpack
  6. Water regularly and apply potions as needed to keep the plant healthy
  7. Wait for the plant to grow through all stages to full maturity

Plant Care Tips

  • Water Level should be kept at 2 (Adequate) for optimal growth. Too much or too little water damages the plant.
  • Fertile Dirt causes the plant to grow two stages per cycle instead of one (up through Stage 5), cutting your grow time significantly.
  • Greater Poison Potions protect against insect infestations
  • Greater Cure Potions protect against fungus
  • Greater Heal Potions protect against poison and disease, and heal damage
  • Greater Strength Potions reduce the chance of infestations and fungus
  • Growth checks occur every 23 hours
  • Plants must be in a valid growth location — locked down in a house, in your backpack, or in your bank box

Making Decorative Plants

Once a plant reaches full maturity (Stage 7 or higher), you can set it to Decorative through the plant management gump. Only decorative plants can be used to fill BODs. This is important — a fully grown plant that has not been set to decorative will not be accepted.

Hovering Over Plants

You can hover over any growing plant to see its full status at a glance:

  • Growth Stage — Current stage from Seed through Full Grown
  • Health — Dying, Wilted, Healthy, or Vibrant (with exact HP)
  • Water Level — Bone Dry through Sopping Wet
  • Dirt Type — Fertile or Plain
  • Potions Applied — Which potions are active and their levels
  • Problems — Any active maladies (Bugs, Fungus, Poison, Disease)
  • Seeds/Resources Ready — Available for harvest on mature plants
  • Next Growth — Time remaining until the next growth check

Filling BODs

Opening a BOD

Double-click a Plant BOD in your backpack to open it. The BOD gump shows:

  • The point value of the BOD
  • Your current point total
  • Each plant type required and your progress for each

Adding Plants

There are two ways to fill a BOD:

  • Fill Order — Gives you a targeting cursor. Target individual decorative plants in your backpack to add them one at a time.
  • Fill from Pack — Automatically scans your entire backpack and fills the BOD with all matching decorative plants at once. This is the fastest method.

Completing a BOD

Once all entries show as complete, a "Complete Order" button appears. Click it to turn in the BOD and receive your points. You can also drag and drop a completed BOD directly onto the Plant BOD Vendor to turn it in.

After completing a BOD, the rewards gump opens automatically so you can spend your points right away.

Plant BOD Book

The Plant BOD Book (available as a 50-point reward) stores your Plant BODs for easy organization. Features include:

  • Fill from Pack — Right-click context menu option to automatically store all Plant BODs from your backpack into the book
  • Search — Built-in search box to filter BODs by plant name, size, or point value
  • Sorting — Click the column arrows to sort by Size, Points, or Status (complete/incomplete)
  • Drop — Remove individual BODs back to your backpack
  • Rename — Give your book a custom name

Search Examples

  • Type "Poppies" to find all BODs requiring Poppies
  • Type "6x20" to find all 6-plant BODs requiring 20 of each
  • Type "450" to find all BODs worth 450 points

Rewards

Spend your accumulated points at the rewards vendor. You can access rewards by:

  • Clicking "View Rewards" in any BOD gump
  • Single-clicking the Plant BOD Vendor and choosing "View Rewards"

Quick Start Workflow

For experienced gardeners, here is the most efficient workflow:

  1. Get 5 BODs from the vendor
  2. Store them in your Plant BOD Book
  3. Set up plant bowls using the Plant Bowl Placer
  4. Fill bowls with fertile dirt using the Fertile Dirt Spreader
  5. Plant seeds and water the bowls
  6. Set up Sprinklers to automate watering and potion application
  7. Once plants are fully grown, set them to Decorative
  8. Pick up decorative plants and use "Fill from Pack" on your BODs
  9. Turn in completed BODs for points
  10. Spend points on rewards

Tips and Tricks

  • Fertile dirt is your best friend — it doubles growth speed through Stage 5, cutting total grow time nearly in half.
  • Sprinklers save hours — instead of manually watering and potioning dozens of plants, one sprinkler handles 18 tiles of plants in a single click.
  • Fill from Pack is your friend — don't target plants individually. Let the system find them automatically.
  • Higher BODs are worth it — a 6x20 BOD (450 points) is worth more than forty-five 1x10 BODs (10 points each). Prioritize multi-plant BODs when possible.
  • The Plant BOD Book keeps you organized — use the search and sort features to quickly find your highest-value incomplete BODs.
  • Check plant status by hovering — the tooltip shows everything you need to know about a plant's health, water, potions, and growth timer without opening the plant gump.
