Overview

The Minor Artifact Buyer is a specialized NPC vendor located on the second floor of Main Street, directly above the bank. Unlike most vendors who sell items to players, this merchant buys minor artifacts from you for gold. If you've accumulated duplicate artifacts or found pieces that don't fit your build, the Minor Artifact Buyer gives you a reliable way to convert them into gold rather than letting them collect dust in your bank.

How It Works

  1. Travel to Main Street and go up to the second floor above the bank.
  2. Find the NPC titled "the Minor Artifact Buyer".
  3. Open the vendor's sell menu by saying "Vendor, sell" or using the vendor context menu.
  4. Any eligible minor artifacts in your backpack will appear in the sell window.
  5. Select the items you wish to sell and confirm the transaction.
  6. Gold is deposited into your backpack (or bank if your pack is full).

Accepted Artifacts & Prices

The Minor Artifact Buyer accepts the following items. Most artifacts are purchased at a flat rate of 42,000 gold. Admiral's Hearty Rum is the one exception at 3,000 gold due to its common availability.

Tips

  • Check your artifacts before selling. Some minor artifacts may be more useful to your build than the gold they're worth. Consider whether the item fills a gap in your resistances or complements your template before cashing it in.
  • Maritime artifacts from fishing — if you run the High Seas content or fish MIBs regularly, you'll accumulate pieces like the Ghost Ship Anchor and Candelabra of Souls. The buyer is a convenient way to turn those into steady income.
  • Admiral's Hearty Rum is only worth 3,000 gold here because it drops far more frequently than the other artifacts. Don't expect a big payday from rum bottles.
  • Sell in bulk. If you've been stashing duplicates in your bank, load up your backpack and sell everything in one trip for a nice gold windfall.
  • The buyer does not sell anything. This vendor is strictly a buyer. You cannot purchase artifacts from this NPC.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does the condition or durability of the artifact affect the price?

A: No. The buyer pays a flat rate regardless of the item's current durability or any modifications.

Q: Can I sell major artifacts here?

A: No. This vendor only accepts the specific minor artifacts listed above. Major artifacts and other items will not appear in the sell window.

Q: Is there a daily limit on how many I can sell?

A: No. You can sell as many eligible artifacts as you have in your backpack.

Q: Where do I find these artifacts?

A: Minor artifacts drop from high-end Paragon creatures, champion spawns, treasure chests, and MIB fishing. The maritime artifacts come primarily from pirate and sea-themed content.
