The Ramayan Quest
The Ramayan Quest is a multi-step adventure inspired by the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana. The demon lord Ravana has kidnapped Princess Sita, and it falls to you to rescue her with the help of General Hanuman and his monkey army. The quest takes you across Britannia and into Ravana's dungeon for a climactic boss fight, with a powerful magical robe awaiting those who see it through to the end.

Quest Walkthrough
Step 1 — Speak with Valmiki in Vesper
Find Valmiki the Story Teller in the city of Vesper. Right-click him and select the context menu option to hear his plea. He will explain that Princess Sita has been kidnapped by the demon Ravana and that General Hanuman is assembling a rescue force near Skara Brae.
Valmiki gives you two items:
- Letter of Introduction from Valmiki — Identifies you to Hanuman as a trusted ally.
- Ramayan Quest Book — A blessed book summarizing what you know so far. Double-click it at any time to review your progress.
Step 2 — Find General Hanuman near Skara Brae
Travel to the Skara Brae Ranger's Guild area and locate Hanuman, Monkey General. Right-click him and select the context menu option. He will brief you on the rescue plan and reveal that Sita is being held in Ravana's dungeon, accessible from the island of Iver's Rounding northwest of Skara Brae.
Hanuman gives you:
- Letter of Introduction from Hanuman — His monkey army soldiers will recognize this and fight alongside you.
- Ramayan Quest Book (updated) — Now includes Hanuman's intelligence on Ravana's location.
Your original quest book from Valmiki is replaced at this step.
Step 3 — Travel to Iver's Rounding and Enter the Dungeon
Sail or gate to Iver's Rounding, the island northwest of Skara Brae. Look for Sita's Ring near the dungeon entrance steps. Double-click the ring to be teleported directly into Ravana's dungeon. The ring is consumed on use.
Step 4 — Fight Through the Dungeon and Defeat Ravana
Inside the dungeon you will encounter Ravana's demon forces. Hanuman's monkey army patrols the dungeon as your allies — they will fight hostile creatures alongside you, heal you if your health drops low, and even resurrect you if you fall in battle.
At the heart of the dungeon awaits Ravana himself.

Ravana has high skills in Magery, Eval Int, Wrestling, Tactics, Anatomy, Meditation, and Magic Resist (all 100–120). He is a serious fight — bring potions, and make use of the monkey army allies for support.
When Ravana is slain, loot his corpse and take Ravana's Head. This is the key item for the next step.
Step 5 — Return Ravana's Head to Princess Sita
Locate Sita the Princess inside the dungeon area. Drag and drop Ravana's Head onto Sita to prove the demon is dead. She will thank you and hand you two items:
- Ravana's Earrings — Proof of Sita's rescue; needed for the final step.
- Ramayan Quest Book (updated) — Now includes Sita's message directing you back to Valmiki.
Your earlier letters of introduction and previous quest book are cleaned up from your pack at this point.
Step 6 — Return to Valmiki for Your Reward
Travel back to Valmiki in Vesper. If you right-click him while carrying Ravana's Earrings, he will recognize that you have rescued Sita and ask for the earrings.
Drag and drop Ravana's Earrings onto Valmiki to complete the quest. He will reward you with:
- Robe of Rama — A powerful magical robe (see Reward table above).
- 5,000 Gold
Congratulations — Lord Rama has granted you his favor!
Tips
- Don't skip Hanuman. His Letter of Introduction causes the monkey army soldiers in the dungeon to recognize you as a friend. They will heal and resurrect you during the fight.
- Bring supplies. Ravana hits hard and has 2,000 HP. Stock up on Greater Heal potions, Greater Cure potions, and bandages before entering.
- Loot the head immediately. Make sure to take Ravana's Head from the corpse before it decays. Without it, you cannot advance the quest.
- The quest book tracks your progress. Double-click your Ramayan Quest Book at any time to review where you are and what to do next.
- The Robe of Rama has a hood toggle. Double-click the robe while wearing it to raise or lower the hood, changing its appearance.
