Stealable Shop Signs

Stealable Shop Signs are rare decorative items hidden throughout the world. Unlike regular stealable artifacts, these signs do not appear when using the Ctrl+Shift tracking method — you must find them by exploring and attempt to steal them using the Stealing skill.

Each sign comes in two orientations — East-facing and South-facing — allowing you to match the layout of your home or player-built village. They make excellent decoration for housing, particularly if you want to create the look of a functional town with labeled shops.

How to Obtain

  1. Explore the world. Signs are scattered across towns and dungeons throughout Britannia. There is no map or tracking shortcut — you need to physically locate them.
  2. Use the Stealing skill. Target the sign to attempt to steal it. Higher Stealing skill improves your success rate.
  3. Place it in your home. Once stolen, the sign can be locked down or secured in your house as decoration.

Important: These signs will not highlight with Ctrl+Shift like standard stealable artifacts. You must visually spot them and attempt a steal directly.

Tips

  • Check NPC shop buildings carefully. Signs are often placed on or near the types of buildings they represent — an Armourer sign near an armour shop, a Bakery sign near a bakery, and so on.
  • East vs South matters for placement. East-facing signs hang flat against a wall running north-south, while South-facing signs hang flat against a wall running east-west. Grab the orientation that fits your house layout, or collect both.
  • Build a village. With 26 different shop types available, you can label an entire player-run town — hang a Blacksmith sign outside your forge, a Bank sign on your secure storage room, a Tavern sign above your bar area, and so on.
  • These are great trade items. Because they cannot be tracked with Ctrl+Shift and must be found by hand, stealable shop signs are uncommon and can command a good price if sold to other players or listed on a player vendor. Use [vendorsearch to check if any are currently for sale.
