Floristry
Overview
Floristry is an Alchemy-based crafting system that allows players to create decorative potted plants and flowers for their homes. Using a Florist Toolbox and various botanical materials, you can grow everything from desert cacti to elegant orchids and cherry trees.
The Florist NPC is located on Main Street, next to the bank.
Getting Started
What You Need
- Florist Toolbox — the required crafting tool for all floristry recipes.
Purchase one from the Florist NPC for 125 gold.
- Alchemy skill — used to determine crafting success. At minimum skill the
success chance is 0%, so higher Alchemy is strongly recommended before attempting expensive recipes.
- Materials — Fertile Dirt is required for every recipe, plus a
Medium Flower Pot and one botanical ingredient depending on the plant type (see Recipes below).
Skill Notes
Unlike most crafting systems, Floristry has a 0% minimum success chance. This means at very low Alchemy skill you will fail every attempt and lose materials. Raise your Alchemy skill before investing in expensive ingredients like Rose Sprouts or Orchid Petals.
There is no hard skill ceiling listed — the craft window scales with your Alchemy skill level.

Recipes
All recipes share the same base requirement: 1 Fertile Dirt and 1 Medium Flower Pot, plus a botanical ingredient listed below.

Requires 3 Cloth per recipe (in addition to Fertile Dirt and a Flower Pot).

Potted Plants
Requires 3 Orchid Petals per recipe (in addition to Fertile Dirt and a Flower Pot). Orchid Petals cost 850 gp each from the Florist, making each plant recipe cost 2,550 gp in petals alone.

Coming Soon
The crafting system includes framework for additional plant categories that are not yet available. These include:
- Potted Columbines — 12 color variants (Aqua, Orange, Fuchsia, Green,
Lilac, Peach, Pink, Purple, Red, Yellow, Teal, White)
- Potted Mums — 12 color variants
- Potted Tea Roses — 12 color variants (requires Rose Sprouts)
These categories are currently disabled but may be enabled in a future update.
How to Craft
- Purchase a Florist Toolbox from the Florist NPC.
- Gather your materials: Fertile Dirt, Medium Flower Pot, and the appropriate
botanical ingredient.
- Double-click the Florist Toolbox to open the Floristry crafting menu.
- Select the plant category and the specific plant you wish to create.
- Click to craft — success or failure is determined by your Alchemy skill.
On success you receive a deed or addon piece for the plant. On failure you may lose some or all of your botanical materials depending on the roll.
Tips & Strategies
- Raise Alchemy first — the 0% minimum success rate makes low-skill
crafting a pure materials sink. Aim for high Alchemy before spending on Orchid Petals or Rose Sprouts.
- Cacti are cheapest to experiment with — Cloth (3 per attempt) is far
less costly than Orchid Petals, making Potted Cacti the best category for practicing and raising skill.
- Medium Flower Pots are reusable in recipe terms but consumed on craft —
at 750 gp each, factor them into your per-attempt cost alongside the botanical ingredient.
- Fertile Dirt is the one material you need to source elsewhere. Keep a
stock on hand before sitting down for a crafting session.
- Finished plants are house addon deeds — place them anywhere in your home
for colorful, unique décor that most players won't have.
- The Florist Toolbox has limited uses like other tools — buy extras if you plan
a long crafting session.
